The Kingdoms are in an uproar. The fall of a House is bad, but there was only one left that could still fall.
This is different.
For as long as anyone can remember, the Four Kingdoms have been ruled by the four Houses. At one time, Jesters and ordinary humans lived in peace. Then Shatterstone and Diamante Kingdom waged war against each other. The highest concentrations of Jesters had lived in those two inner kingdoms. Their population was drastically lowered, and the Jesters faded into the Kingdoms. They made no news until around one hundred years ago.
A rumor began to spread that the Jesters were growing in numbers again, and had plans to take over the Four Kingdoms. Through secret channels, ordinary people began to make contact with the Jesters, and a faction of rebellion was born.
Around thirty years ago, more rumors went around, and a panic set in among the nobility — even among the two Houses that had not yet fallen. Anyone found assisting the Jesters was imprisoned. The Jesters themselves were to be executed. After a few months, the royal Houses were unable to locate any more rebels. Yet still the rumors spread.
Now, they’re more than just rumors. The Jesters have risen, and taken Diamante Kingdom with very little resistance.
The Houses of the other three Kingdoms are in a state of panic, with each afraid that the rebellion will overthrow them next. All of the royal Houses are taking emergency measures to protect their thrones.
Prince Caro has taken total control and has begun to arrest anyone he suspects has connections to the Jesters. Shatterstone House is conducting Jester hunts as well.
There is one rumor that is rather strange. Some are saying that Bladesong House has been meeting with emissaries from the Jesters.

Word of the Day: Shatterstone House- n. – This royal House
is so named because it’s founding King reputedly could
break stone with the force of his club.
