The course in Wagner actually went better than expected. There was a surprise test, but I did pretty well on that. Science is easy, as are English and reading. Math will be the only tricky part, but I’m reasonably confident that I will be prepared come testtime.
This has been one of those busy days where you do five hundred little tasks, but don’t get what you wanted done. I would like to just pause the weekend and enjoy a bit of it. As it is I find myself kind of annoyed that nothing is moving in the right direction.
Until next time, I am: feeling like a weekend just isn’t enough.
I just spent the last few hours messing with legos and discussing the storyline of the one story I want to write but can never find the words for. In turn, I heard about a script that may never be filmed, but is awesome anyway.
Anchorman severely sucked. It started out funny, but about halfway through, it became old. It was a bit different from the last movie. By a bit I mean very different.
Until next time, this is: 2014’s most recent post.
I went on my fourth official college visit today, and it was okay. I got some new perspectives fro degrees and jobs I would like in the future alongside my main plans. However, I am fairly sure that I don’t want to go to USD. It’s not that it’s a bad school, but it lacks what I would like in the way of Majors. And I don’t want to go there.
My all-time favorite visit was to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. They were big, friendly, and every one acting personally interested in me, not just bored to have to talk to another student or stuck up about what a great school they were.
My cold appears to finally be fading after a week, so that’s cause for celebration.
Until next time, I am: slightly less sick.
Word of the Day: absquatulate
My story will have to wait for a while. I’m currently poring all my (writing) creative talent into my story of the Black Death. Mmmm….. Researching information about something I want to write. Yes…
I’m also going with Venice as the setting. Why? I guess I’m just a hopeless romantic. I mean, the idea of Venice writes half of the setting for me. Not to mention that I can only think of a few places to set a deadly disease loose. And if that disease was in Europe historically? Venice. I considered Jack the Ripper and England, but anything I could write about THAT situation might have gone a little… well, you know…
Until next time, I am: preparing a pestilential piece of prose.
Word of the Day: buboe
Duct-tape day has to be one of the best ideas ever for school spirit days. Seriously. My pants and jacket are cool, but my bow-tie is gonna be the best part.
Prayer Chapel was amazing. I can’t wait to streamline it and do it again next year. And the next year. And the next…
Until next time, I am: the Tape Lord.
Word of the Day: Resuscitate
So, I’m starting blogging on a Wednesday this week. This is kind of early. It’s weird. I mean, early? That’s really abnormal.
The trebuchet competition was fun today. We only misfired about two thirds of the time, which is a new high score. I talked to some new people from out of town, drank some really good pink lemonade, and watched two bad acting performances and a really good one involving some witches. I also got mostly set up for Prayer Chapel. Tomorrow night will require a few finishing touches, Friday will involve the last pick-ups of parts, and Saturday will be last minute actions and the event itself. Sunday will be emotionally drained and exhausted.
Until next time, I am: a koala. (inside joke)
Word of the Day: candles…. So many candles….
