I know we don’t have to post this week, but I actually felt like posting. Not for any particular reason, just as a method of writing.
I’ve been writing a lot. It’s nothing in particular, just random bits. Most of it is centered around my old Ancient storyline. That’s the only one that allows each of my reincarnating characters to exist with their true name and shape. (The colors & company: Keminia, Kalrion, Allandra, Lyrus, Morgana, Illona, Benian, Kaius, Kerus, Azorien, Ogalba, the Red Trimvirate, Thaeona, Cygaran, Natar, Elyan, Ariana, Kyra, Aristo, the Twins, Scirin, and Koravos.) I hope I didn’t forget anyone. I think I missed one somewhere. Maybe it’s time to bring out the Red Flash Drive and all the old files on it. I haven’t viewed any of those in a year or two.
In fact, maybe it’s time to make another attempt at the Ancient storyline. Why keep to the old patterns though? I’ve written a lot in the past couple years. I might borrow my favorite ideas from more recent stories. EverStory excluded, much of my writing has bounced between the same storylines. I might combine one or four in a little experiment. The Archaeologist, the Jumper, Ancient, and Orishiune all are different, but thinking about them all has me wondering if combing them all would actually be helpful.
The Archaeologist storyline is great, but lacks content and ends with a really unfortunate, painful, story-ruining death. But with a little bit of Ancient, a few thousand years don’t necesarily mean the charcater had to die. The Jumper is good too, but maybe the weirdness of the parallel universe could be replaced by the Archaeologist. After all, that would allow a dual storyline to develop, and give a plausible reason for Jumper to exist, as it’s beginning is always rather shaky. Orishiune is only a universe away from the Archaeologist, and the same distance from Ancient. It is similar to both, even though they are different. This would help with the blend. Hmmm… I’ll have to play with that concept this summer.
^^^^^^^^ All the above was the me way of saying “I might write a wee bit this summer.” Sorry for being long-winded. And weird. Okay, not really that sorry. I enjoy my strange personality.
Until next time, I am: working out where to put a hill, a city, a necklace, and a school.
